Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based policy proposals for city-wide initiatives
- Analyze complex datasets to assess socioeconomic impacts of legislative actions
- Coordinate with 15+ city agencies to implement cross-departmental programs
- Prepare detailed briefing materials for senior leadership and City Council
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and industry partners
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for grant-funded projects
- Manage policy implementation timelines and deliverable tracking systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative recommendations
- Strong knowledge of NYC municipal operations and charter provisions
- Superior written/verbal communication with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Active NYS government security clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Valid NYS driver's license may be required for field site visits
