Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy impacts using quantitative models and stakeholder interviews
- Develop legislative recommendations for transportation infrastructure modernization
- Lead interdepartmental task forces on affordable housing initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for legislative committees
- Manage grant-funded environmental justice projects
- Coordinate with Oakland city officials on implementation strategies
- Mentor junior analysts in policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years in government policy analysis or equivalent experience
- Expertise in California environmental justice regulations
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R/Stata)
- Proven track record with legislative bill drafting
- Valid California driver's license
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
- Experience with Bay Area community organizations
