Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council review
- Lead cross-departmental stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative impact statements
- Manage grant applications and compliance reporting for state/federal programs
- Supervise junior analysts and interns
- Track emerging policy trends and best practices nationally
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record of successful policy implementation
- California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) certification preferred
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
