Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze state policies across economic development, environmental sustainability, and social equity domains
- Lead cross-agency task forces to coordinate policy implementation across 13 state agencies
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials and policy recommendations for the Governor's Office
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using advanced statistical modeling tools
- Oversee $2M+ grant programs ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Testify before legislative committees on policy impacts and legislative priorities
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining rigorous quality control standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in NY State budget processes and legislative procedures
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Proven track record of drafting successful legislation or executive orders
- Valid NYS driver's license with clean driving record
- Professional certification in Public Policy Analysis (PPA) preferred
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days of hire
