Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public policies related to climate action, housing affordability, and social equity
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and data analysis to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with city departments, community stakeholders, and legislative bodies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and legislative recommendations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing complex urban challenges
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness through KPI tracking
- Present findings to city council and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis and statistical modeling
- Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement processes
- Strong knowledge of Portland's governance structure and policy landscape
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with budget analysis and fiscal impact assessments
