Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local, state, and federal policies impacting Tampa's development priorities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for city council consideration
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to implement strategic initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with community leaders and residents
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Manage grant applications related to urban development and sustainability programs
- Present policy recommendations to elected officials and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Florida Sunshine Law and public procurement processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
