Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging policy trends and draft comprehensive legislative recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical software and public data sources
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and executive summaries for legislative committees
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess local government impacts
- Lead grant proposal development for federal/state funding initiatives
- Maintain compliance with Arizona Administrative Code requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sectors
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record of developing successful legislative proposals
- Deep understanding of Arizona's legislative process and administrative structure
- Exceptional written communication with 50+ published policy documents
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Experience with Mesa/Phoenix metropolitan area government operations preferred
