Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and evaluate their socioeconomic impacts on Minneapolis communities
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations addressing urban challenges like housing affordability and public transit
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement state-funded initiatives in Hennepin County
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative briefings and public hearings
- Monitor federal compliance requirements for state-local grant programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and industry partners
- Conduct quantitative research using statistical modeling tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of Minnesota state legislative processes
- Proven track record in managing multi-million dollar public projects
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal grant compliance
- Experience with public health emergency response frameworks preferred
