Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal regulations and propose evidence-based policy recommendations for veterans' healthcare programs
- Conduct in-depth research on healthcare delivery systems and veteran demographics to inform strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation plans for new policy initiatives
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for congressional briefings and agency leadership
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on veterans' services
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with veteran service organizations and community partners
- Maintain compliance with all federal reporting requirements and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal policy analysis or government relations
- Expertise in veterans' healthcare systems and federal healthcare regulations
- Proficient in quantitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and qualitative research methods
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex policy concepts for diverse audiences
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Experience with federal budget processes and grant management
