Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and analysis on healthcare access and public health initiatives
- Develop and draft legislative proposals, regulations, and policy briefs
- Analyze complex healthcare data and socioeconomic trends to inform policy decisions
- Collaborate with state legislators, stakeholders, and community organizations
- Represent the agency at public hearings, legislative briefings, and interagency meetings
- Monitor federal/state legislative developments and assess potential impacts on Massachusetts programs
- Lead cross-functional teams on special policy projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in healthcare policy, data analysis, and legislative processes
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with proficiency in data visualization tools
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Experience drafting legislation and regulatory documents
- Knowledge of Massachusetts state government operations and healthcare systems
