Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and budget proposals for fiscal and social implications
- Conduct quantitative research and statistical modeling to support policy recommendations
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and testimony for legislative committees
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement evidence-based solutions
- Monitor federal policy developments and assess state-level adaptation strategies
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging issues like healthcare access and economic development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with budget forecasting and fiscal impact analysis
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with complex stakeholder management
- Knowledge of Indiana state government operations and legislative processes
- Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred
