Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform state policy recommendations and legislative proposals
- Develop and implement policy frameworks supporting business attraction, workforce development, and innovation initiatives
- Coordinate interagency collaboration on economic development strategies across Tennessee's 95 counties
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, impact assessments, and legislative testimony for executive leadership
- Manage stakeholder engagement with industry leaders, local governments, and community organizations
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess implications for Tennessee's economic priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS) and economic modeling
- Demonstrated success in developing actionable policy recommendations for legislative action
- Proficiency in drafting complex policy documents and stakeholder communications
- Knowledge of Tennessee's economic development landscape and regulatory environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for sensitive government information
