Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate complex policy proposals for legislative and regulatory impact
- Analyze quantitative/qualitative data to inform evidence-based decision-making
- Collaborate with 20+ city agencies to implement cross-functional initiatives
- Present findings to Councilmembers and senior executive leadership
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community groups and industry partners
- Monitor federal compliance requirements affecting DC residents
- Lead crisis response protocols for urgent public policy matters
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government policy analysis or legislative affairs
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Deep understanding of DC's Home Rule governance structure
- Proven track record of translating policy into actionable programs
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Active DC security clearance (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- U.S. citizenship required for federal compliance work
