Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex legislative proposals aligned with state priorities
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data analytics tools
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement policy solutions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulations and assess impacts on New York operations
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging policy challenges
- Maintain compliance with state procurement and budgetary frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative research methodologies (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven track record of drafting successful legislation/regulations
- Advanced knowledge of New York State budget processes
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- NY State residency required within 90 days of hire
