Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and deliver actionable recommendations to executive leadership
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing urban development, healthcare access, and education equity
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced analytics and stakeholder interviews
- Draft legislation, regulatory frameworks, and implementation strategies
- Monitor policy outcomes and prepare executive briefings for state officials
- Collaborate with federal agencies, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Manage $5M+ project budgets and oversee interagency task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python) and policy modeling
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks
- Deep knowledge of Massachusetts state government operations and budget processes
- Exceptional written communication with published policy papers
- Experience managing interagency projects with diverse stakeholders
