Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues related to urban development, transportation, and community services
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with Nashville's strategic vision
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for Mayor's Office and City Council review
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess local impact
- Engage with community stakeholders and advocacy groups
- Manage policy implementation timelines and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficient in policy development software (e.g., PolicyMap, ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated experience with budget analysis and grant writing
- Strong knowledge of Tennessee state regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
