Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals for land use and zoning regulations
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform urban planning decisions
- Coordinate with community boards, elected officials, and private sector stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for City Council and mayoral administration
- Lead inter-agency task forces on resilience and equitable development initiatives
- Manage complex GIS mapping and spatial analysis projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal planning or policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS)
- Expertise in NYC zoning regulations and ULURP process
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research abilities
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- NYC residency required within 90 days of hire
