Responsibilities
- Analyze state healthcare legislation and regulations to inform policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on public health programs and initiatives
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation plans for executive leadership
- Coordinate with stakeholders including legislators, agencies, and community partners
- Monitor policy outcomes and prepare performance reports for continuous improvement
- Represent HHSC in interagency committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS)
- Deep knowledge of Texas healthcare systems and Medicaid programs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
