Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex public policies using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement city-wide initiatives
- Present findings to elected officials and community stakeholders through compelling reports
- Monitor policy outcomes and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $1M
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in writing policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Experience with participatory budgeting and community engagement processes
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
