Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policies aligned with state strategic goals
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with legislators, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Monitor federal health law changes and state implementation progress
- Manage cross-departmental health equity initiatives
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative health outcomes research
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Deep knowledge of federal/state healthcare regulations
- Proven stakeholder engagement and legislative testimony experience
- Illinois residency required at time of hire
- Valid Illinois driver's license
