Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and recommend evidence-based policies addressing urban challenges
- Conduct comprehensive research on socioeconomic trends and regulatory impacts
- Collaborate with city departments and community stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and presentations for leadership and public hearings
- Monitor federal/state legislation for implications on local governance
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams on complex policy development cycles
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data visualization
- Proficient with policy analysis tools (GIS, SPSS, R, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing municipal policies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Knowledge of Ohio municipal governance structures and regulations
- Valid Ohio driver's license required
