Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex policy proposals aligned with state strategic priorities
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and data modeling for evidence-based recommendations
- Collaborate with legislative stakeholders and agency leadership on policy implementation
- Prepare comprehensive briefing documents and testimony for legislative hearings
- Manage cross-functional project teams and coordinate inter-agency initiatives
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess state-level impacts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative proposals and budget analyses
- Strong stakeholder management and coalition-building abilities
- California state government experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license
