Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for City Council and executive leadership
- Analyze complex urban challenges using quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on housing, transportation, and climate initiatives
- Prepare legislative reports and executive summaries for public hearings
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community groups, nonprofits, and industry partners
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for grant-funded programs
- Lead cross-functional projects with $50M+ budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS/R/Python)
- Advanced knowledge of California environmental regulations
- Proven track record of policy implementation success
- Valid California driver's license
- Clear background check and security clearance eligibility
- Strong written/verbal bilingual skills (English/Spanish preferred)
