Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze comprehensive urban policy frameworks for NYC's growth initiatives
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform strategic planning decisions
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement city-wide policy objectives
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and public stakeholders
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Represent the department in public forums and community engagement sessions
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to departmental best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Deep understanding of NYC's governmental structure and policy landscape
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Valid New York State driver's license (if required for field work)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
