Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations through rigorous data analysis and stakeholder consultations
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing complex public challenges
- Prepare legislative briefings and testimony for state legislative committees
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Collaborate with federal agencies on compliance and program alignment
- Manage policy research projects with $500K+ budgets
- Mentor junior analysts and build agency-wide policy expertise
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing state-level policies
- Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania's legislative and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Active Pennsylvania security clearance (or ability to obtain)
