Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology policy frameworks for state digital infrastructure
- Analyze legislative impacts on IT systems and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with agency heads to align technology strategy with public service goals
- Lead cross-functional teams for major system modernization projects
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and executive presentations
- Monitor emerging tech trends and recommend regulatory adaptations
- Manage stakeholder engagement with public and private sector partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Tableau)
- Demonstrated experience with state/federal regulatory frameworks
- Strong project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Illinois residency required at time of hire
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Security clearance eligibility
