Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive policy research and analysis for major urban development initiatives
- Develop data-driven recommendations to address housing affordability and climate resilience
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with community boards, elected officials, and advocacy groups
- Prepare high-impact policy briefs and legislative testimony for City Council and Mayoral offices
- Coordinate inter-agency task forces on equitable neighborhood revitalization projects
- Oversee implementation of zoning text amendments and local laws
- Mentor junior analysts and manage cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in NYC zoning regulations and land use processes
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, ArcGIS) and statistical analysis
- Proven track record in community outreach and public speaking
- Deep understanding of NYC's socioeconomic landscape and equity frameworks
- Valid New York State driver's license (may be required for site visits)
