Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for executive leadership
- Coordinate inter-agency task forces and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare detailed briefing materials for legislative committees
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using state databases
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting New York residents
- Maintain compliance with NYS Administrative Procedure Act
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Deep knowledge of NYS legislative processes
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Active NYS driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
