Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and recommend evidence-based policy solutions
- Lead cross-agency task forces to address regional challenges in West Texas
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for executive leadership and legislative committees
- Manage stakeholder engagement with local governments, nonprofits, and community groups
- Oversee implementation of state-funded initiatives in El Paso County
- Monitor policy outcomes using quantitative data and qualitative feedback
- Train junior analysts on policy development best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of Texas state legislative processes
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) or equivalent preferred
- Proven track record of managing remote teams effectively
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual required)
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional in-state travel
