Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and economic trends to inform policy recommendations
- Conduct research and prepare comprehensive policy briefs for legislative committees
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement workforce development programs
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements and ensure program alignment
- Present findings to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing emerging workforce challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced knowledge of Texas workforce systems and labor market dynamics
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python preferred)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex legislative processes
- Valid Texas driver's license
