Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on complex fiscal and policy issues affecting the State of California.
- Prepare high-level briefings, reports, and memorandums for senior executives and legislative committees.
- Collaborate with inter-agency task forces to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate the economic impact of proposed legislation and regulatory changes.
- Present findings to diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and the public.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s with significant experience may be considered).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government analysis, policy research, or legislative affairs.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data.
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced government environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for this position.
