Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze state policies affecting Northern California communities
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis for policy recommendations
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives and public outreach programs
- Monitor policy implementation and evaluate outcomes
- Represent the department in public forums and community meetings
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with legislative processes and stakeholder engagement
- Valid California driver's license (may be required)
- Ability to obtain security clearance if needed
