Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting Texas communities
- Develop data-driven recommendations for state legislation and programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative bodies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor federal and state regulatory changes impacting agency operations
- Engage with stakeholders including community leaders and advocacy groups
- Lead policy impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Expertise in Texas legislative processes and state government structure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with legislative drafting experience
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
