Responsibilities
- Analyze complex healthcare legislation and regulatory frameworks to inform state policy decisions
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for vulnerable populations and health equity initiatives
- Coordinate interagency collaborations with county health departments and community partners
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and industry experts
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state leadership
- Monitor federal healthcare policy changes and assess California compliance requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and manage cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare policy analysis or government regulatory affairs
- Advanced proficiency in healthcare data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Tableau)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Experience with California state legislative processes and healthcare regulations
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Valid California driver's license (required for statewide travel)
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
