Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for state healthcare initiatives
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement public health programs
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal healthcare regulations and assess state compliance requirements
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Manage policy research projects with budgets exceeding $500,000
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in state government or healthcare policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory impact statements
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Professional certification in public policy (CPPP) preferred
- Experience managing federal grant compliance for healthcare programs
