Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and fiscal impacts for Bay Area communities
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for legislative initiatives
- Collaborate with state agencies and local governments
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative bodies
- Manage multi-year research projects with $500K+ budgets
- Monitor implementation of state programs in San Jose region
- Mentor junior analysts on public sector methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, Python)
- Knowledge of California state budget processes
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid California driver's license
