Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts for Charlotte region stakeholders
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for cabinet-level officials
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage $2M+ program budgets with fiscal accountability
- Mentor junior analysts and lead interdepartmental task forces
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced analytics tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data analysis
- Proven track record of successful policy implementation in NC
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Strong stakeholder management skills across diverse communities
- Security clearance eligibility (background check required)
- Experience with NC state budget processes (preferred)
