Responsibilities
- Develop and implement city-wide public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines and local needs
- Oversee emergency response protocols for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Manage cross-departmental partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Lead grant writing and budget management for public health programs
- Ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting requirements
- Supervise public health specialists and coordinate outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health administration experience
- Advanced knowledge of health policy frameworks and healthcare systems
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in public health informatics
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with Chicago's diverse communities and health disparities
