Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public health programs for Dallas County
- Oversee grant management and budget allocation for health initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations and local government
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
- Supervise program staff and evaluate performance metrics
- Represent DSHS in interagency coalitions and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health or government administration experience
- Texas Department of State Health Services certification preferred
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and reporting
- Proven grant management experience with federal/state funding
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health emergency protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
