Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for disease prevention and community wellness
- Oversee $2M+ budget allocation for health programs and emergency response initiatives
- Coordinate cross-departmental health campaigns with schools, hospitals, and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and resource gaps
- Lead crisis management for public health emergencies including pandemics and environmental hazards
- Mentor 15+ public health professionals and interns
- Secure federal/state grants to expand county health services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive public health experience with 3+ years in leadership
- Proven track record of managing complex health programs with measurable outcomes
- Expertise in NC public health regulations and emergency response protocols
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, SAS, or Tableau)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible within 6 months
