Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention, maternal health, and emergency preparedness
- Oversee departmental budgets exceeding $2M and allocate resources strategically for maximum community impact
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies and natural disasters
- Collaborate with federal/state agencies (CDC, DHHS) for grant funding and policy alignment
- Manage 15+ staff including epidemiologists, health educators, and outreach specialists
- Analyze population health data to identify trends and recommend evidence-based interventions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 7+ years progressive experience in public health leadership with government/nonprofit focus
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Executive (CHE) designation
- Proven expertise in grant writing with $500K+ secured funding track record
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, and Nebraska public health statutes
- Exceptional crisis management skills with documented emergency response leadership
- Proficiency in health data platforms (ESRI, Tableau) and budget management software
