Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems for communicable diseases
- Analyze public health data using SAS/SPSS and develop actionable reports
- Collaborate with federal partners (CDC, CMS) on grant-funded initiatives
- Lead cross-agency task forces for emergency response preparedness
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state legislature
- Mentor junior analysts and train local health department staff
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in epidemiological analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, or SPSS)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent
- Experience with Ohio public health data systems (e.g., ODHIS)
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and federal compliance
- Valid Ohio driver's license
