Responsibilities
- Develop and implement disease surveillance protocols for Santa Clara County
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and outbreaks
- Coordinate emergency response plans with local healthcare providers
- Lead community education campaigns on health equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state and federal agencies
- Manage grant-funded public health programs
- Mentor junior analysts and train staff on new protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis
- Valid California Public Health Certification
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Experience with grant writing and program management
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health data regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
