Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and outbreaks
- Coordinate cross-agency partnerships for emergency response planning
- Lead community health assessments and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for state officials
- Manage grant-funded programs totaling $2M+ annually
- Mentor junior staff and supervise project deliverables
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience in government/NGO settings
- Expertise in statistical analysis tools (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent
- Proven crisis management and emergency response experience
- Strong knowledge of California Health and Safety Code
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid California driver's license
