Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based public health policies and strategic plans
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify community health trends
- Coordinate interdepartmental health initiatives with city agencies
- Manage grant-funded health programs and compliance reporting
- Lead community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare comprehensive health impact assessments for major city projects
- Monitor federal/state public health regulations and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of public health program experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification (PHR/SPHR preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal reporting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health data privacy laws
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
