Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations and data analysis for communicable disease outbreaks
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design targeted health education programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports for federal and state health agencies
- Manage grants and ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Train junior staff on public health data collection methodologies
- Represent the department at inter-agency public health coalitions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with grant management and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse community groups
