Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and health leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental health initiatives with local, state, and federal partners
- Lead community health assessment projects and stakeholder engagement campaigns
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on health equity and disease prevention
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health emergencies and routine surveillance
- Mentor junior staff on public health research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of government or public sector health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Valid Missouri driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance (HRSA, CDC)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proven ability to translate complex health data for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of MO public health statutes and HIPAA regulations
