Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention strategies for high-risk populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Collaborate with local health departments on program implementation and evaluation
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Manage grants and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee quality assurance of data analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated experience with grant management and reporting
- Strong knowledge of NYC/NYS public health systems and regulations
- Exceptional written communication skills for technical audiences
