Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive epidemiological studies for disease surveillance and prevention
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends and inform public health policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate community health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness response protocols for public health threats
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for government officials and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct quality assurance for departmental research projects
- Secure and manage federal/state grant funding for public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiological research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record in developing evidence-based health policy recommendations
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance requirements
