Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and implement community health assessment programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate multi-agency initiatives for emergency preparedness and disease prevention
- Lead grant writing and reporting for federal/state public health funding opportunities
- Present findings to city council, community boards, and public stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and supervise program evaluation activities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with health equity frameworks
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced government environment
